Olympic Torch - Your Motorhome

Cheshire based firm Your Motorhome was delighted to have been selected last week to provide motorhomes for the crew from G4S accompanying the Olympic Torch relay across the UK. But there was a problem. With just 7 days to go, the company had to deliver 4 brand new motorhomes. And its fleet of vehicles was already fully booked.

Your Motorhome was determined not to disappoint. Showing appropriate Olympic spirit, the corporate motorhome hire team at Your Motorhome worked with supplier Auto-Trail UK to locate 4 brand new vehicles. Unfortunately those motorhomes were still on the production lines in Sienna in Italy! Ordinary transport would be too late for the project, so with just 48 hours before they were needed, Your Motorhome persuaded the Trigano Group to complete the motorhomes early, putting in the overtime for the Olympic cause.

On Monday, a team of 3 Your Motorhome drivers and Managing Director Nick Edwards flew out to Pisa to begin the hectic 1,150 mile journey to bring back the perfect motorhome hire for the torch relay to begin on Saturday at Lands End. With just 48 hours to get back to the UK and test and fit out the motorhomes, it was a big ask. But the Motorhome hire team at Your motorhome.com were confident of making it just perfect, and they delivered on time to a delighted client.

Your Motorhome was chosen for its ability to supply great motorhomes perfect for the relay. Starting in Lands End on Saturday, the Olympic torch is visiting every corner of the UK over 70 days, bringing Olympic spirit to 90% of the country. G4S have chosen brand new 7-berth Ci 707 luxury motorhomes to assist them through the relay. Each day they will follow the tour and at night the team have perfect accommodation without the inconvenience of checking in and out of hotels. The motorhomes will provide a mobile office and luxury accommodation for the support team on their grueling challenge.
